Some often asked questions are below, but please get in touch if you need any further help.

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

WHAT COLOURS ARE AVAILABLE?

You can have any colour you want. All you need to do is provide us with a paint manufacturer and the name of their paint (for instance, Farrow and Ball French Grey, Laura Ashley Duck Egg Blue, Dulux Borrowed Light), or a RAL number (which is a paint code number), or you can match any colour. For instance, if you have a new pair of curtains or you love the colour of your crockery, give us a sample and we can respray your kitchen cabinet doors the same colour!

HOW HARD WEARING WILL IT BE?

We use a spray lacquer finish which is to the British Standard appropriate for kitchen use. It is extremely hard wearing and durable, in fact it is a similar finish to what you would expect from a new kitchen. We can also apply a final Medicote finish if it is required, which contains an agent that stops bacteria surviving on its surface and meets the requirements for FIRA standard 6250 (at an extra charge). Most of our lacquers are supplied by Morrells Woodfinishes Ltd and if you are interested, you can find more information about their finishes at www.morrells.co.uk.

DO I TAKE THE KITCHEN CUPBOARD DOORS OFF MYSELF?

You can take off the kitchen cabinet doors, drawer fronts and any kick boards or pelmets you may want finishing and bring them to us for them to be resprayed together with anything else you can remove such as corner shelf units. We are based at Hemswell Cliff in Lincolnshire, so we are within easy reach of Lincoln, Gainsborough, Market Rasen, Scunthorpe, Grimsby, Saxilby and surrounding areas. Alternatively for an extra charge (dependent on location) we can arrange to have this done for you and we also cover areas in South Yorkshire, including Sheffield, Doncaster, and in East Yorkshire including Hull and Beverley.

CAN I HAVE A WET LOOK FINISH?

You can have any sheen you like from matt to shiny. You can have the doors resprayed with an ultra shiny wet look , but this can only be done on flat surfaces so if your existing doors are completely flat we can do it, or you can buy new doors for fitting to your existing cabinets.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE?

We would need to book your kitchen in and once this is done, we would have them for approximately 10 days.

WOULD I NEED ANYTHING ELSE?

You do not need to prepare your kitchen cabinet doors and drawer fronts in any way to have them refinished.

WHAT ABOUT THE HANDLES?

It would be helpful if you remove the handles, but we could do this for you if necessary. You may like to think about gettng new handles to complete your new look kitchen, and in this case we could fill the existing handle holes before refinishing.

HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?

We charge a standard price of 23.00 per door (of any dimension, except for very large larder doors which would be 45.00), 10.00 per drawer and 5.00 per metre for any kickboards, cornicing, plinths etc. If there are less than 15 doors then a supplement of 45.00 is charged for lacquer; more than 15 doors the lacquer price is included. For special colour matches there may be a 45.00 charge. If you need any clarification on the prices, please do not hesitate to contact us on 01652 640407.
