Chloe Barcelou and Brandon Batchelder work on movie sets -- she's a stylist, he's a carpenter -- and they designed and built their tiny dream home on a tiny budget.

"It's almost entirely made out of recycled materials that we've got from movie sets that we tore down, and we took all the wood," Barcelou said. "We found a lot of stuff at flea markets, thrift stores."

With old stained, burnt laminate countertops staring at me for the last year of being in the house, I decided it was time to upgrade. I looked at the great instructable of doing concrete countertops.
