#Thinking of putting a ceiling fan in your kitchen?

Ceiling fans improve air circulation in any room in your home including bedrooms, family rooms, and bathrooms.  They re especially helpful in the kitchen, but there are some things you should consider.

Height :  In a kitchen it s especially important to make sure the fan blades are at least 7 feet above the floor.  A kitchen is a high traffic area, especially if you entertain a lot.  You don t want your guests getting bopped on the head!

#Tier Curtains for Bath and Kitchen Windows

Tier curtains are your solution to playing up that kitchen or bathroom window. These casual-look beauties have a spare drape, only covering the lower part of your pane. Sunlight up above casts the room in a cheerful glow. Coverage down below bestows privacy and a peace of mind. Floating over the kitchen sink or drifting above the bath, window tiers will enhance bustling areas without being underfoot.

As bathroom window curtains, a pair of tiers can immerse you in a feeling of serenity. Coastal tiers bring a relaxing reminder of the beach to your bathroom. Garden floral tiers, inspired by secluded meadows, will lull you into a tranquil state with butterfly and flower motifs. If low-key contours and minimal patterns soothe you, our basic elements style offers solid color tiers with a simple drape.

Featuring fruit, chef and rooster designs, kitchen cafe curtains are well-suited for your cooking and dining areas. Grapes ... Read more »

Tone is important too, even within the grey family. warmer greys create a different feel from blue-based shades of slate.

The accent colour is as popular as ever and here yellow comes into its own, particularly against darker greys. 'The rule of thumb is to go for a base colour with an accent shade to highlight areas or to add a vibrant splash to pieces such as a bench or sideboard,' ... Read more »
