System requirements

We're for service that enhances your experience with IKEA. We are committed to making the IKEA 3D Kitchen Planner compatible with the latest Windows browsers.

For optimal performance, we recommend using the following browsers, widely available for free download: Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome.

Internet Explorer 8-9 (32-bit), Firefox 22-24, Chrome 28-30

Windows 7:

Internet Explorer 8-11 (32-bit), Firefox 22-24, Chrome 28-30

Mac OS X 10.7.5 Lion and Mac OS X 10.8.2 Mountain Lion:

The planner may work with newer browser versions

For installing the Mac plug-in follow the instructions on the screen. Here is some additional info:

• Download (save) the disk image file 2020PluginInstaller.dmg
• Mount the disk image (open/run the downloaded file) if not mounted automatically
• Find the 2020PluginInstaller window (might be behind the window on top)
• Drag the lego piece to the folder (if you do not have admin privileges you will be prompted to authenticate)
• Restart the browser (it is not enough to close the browser window, you need to restart the browser application)
• Access the same link and you will now see the Start button and be able to start planning your room

Important info:

Remember to bring your username and password with you to the store. You can’t access your saved kitchen drawings without it.

As a security measure, we don’t accept kitchen drawings on CD, USB memory sticks, etc. in the IKEA store.
