#ww.ask # What is Ask Polaris? Polaris, the North Star, is the brightest star in the constellation Ursa Minor, appearing at the end of the handle of the Little Dipper. For over 2000 years, navigators have used the North Star to determine both their direction and their latitude. Ask Polaris is a Web site designed to guide students, parents, and counselors much like the North Star guides navigators. The mission of Ask Polaris is to help graduating high school students, the brightest shining stars of the future, navigate toward their collegiate and professional career goals in the field of aerospace engineering. Along the way, we’ll answer questions that you already have, and maybe even some you haven’t thought of yet. Let’s begin the journey! Additional Resource Developed by professionals with almost 40 years of experience in linking high school students with colleges and universities, My College Options® connects students to 2,000 colleges and universities nationwide and has almost 5 .5 million students already enrolled. Our unique system of matching students with the colleges and universities that are right for them will play a large role in helping students reach their post-secondary goals.
