Credit Karma is a free credit score website that will give you a legitimate free credit score without you having to give them a credit card number or sign up for a free trial.

How to Get Your Free Credit Score at Credit Karma

You can request your free Credit Karma credit score in three simple steps on their website. To begin, visit Credit Karma and click Get Started Now. Create an account with your email address, password, and security question and answer.

Click Next Step and fill out your name, address, phone number, date of birth, and social security number. You ll need to accept the terms of use before continuing on to the next step.

On the next page you ll need to answer a few questions based on information Credit Karma sees on your credit report. Click Get My Score when you re finished.

Reading Your Credit Karma Free Credit Score

When your free credit score comes up you ll be able to see your TransUnion credit score, VantageScore, Auto Insurance Score, and Home Insurance Score.

Credit Karma does a great job of explaining what these credit scores mean .

You ll also see some advertisements here, one example being credit cards. You don t need to sign up for these if you don t want to. Credit Karma makes their money by selling advertisements so they don t have to charge you for the credit score.

I highly recommend visiting Credit Karma to get your free credit score. The website is easy to use and the credit score information is presented in a way that is easy to understand. I felt like my information was completely safe during the whole process. I didn t like the credit card ads that were all over my credit score but I do understand that this is how Credit Karma is able to offer this free service and make money at the same time.
