#Best burgers in London - Gourmet Burger Kitchen - s new menu - duck burger - GBK ( UK)
Dining out at GBK has always been a fail proof exercise. You're hangry after a lengthy film, not yet drunk enough for the golden arches and not feeling the risk of a 'recommended' Asian nearby. So you see those three shining letters in the distance and you commit You then boast to everyone at work that you're a funtime-gal who went for a burger last night with extra fries and polished off a two-day curry in the fridge. Sure. GBK have introduced a new menu which will soon put an end to all experimental thoughts. It's now apparently a safe choice, with added choice once you get in and sat down! The guy responsible for GBK' s original menu back in 2001 when they first opened (14 full years of good burger) has introduced a 'radedah' menu, taking the Gourmet in GBK to new heights while keeping the price at a generous 5'4''. Team GLAMOUR had the privilege of giving this one a test drive. The duck confit burger was a welcome break from a heavy beef option - especially with the fiery ginger and apricot chilli jam. Team that with a brioche bun and it felt like more than a starter, team that again still with sweet potato fries and we had happy faces. For those shying away from the heavenly fries, there's a mint, pomegranate sumac summer homeslaw option (which isn't too shabby-an-option). We finished on a high, knocking back a banana ice-cream blended with Lotus Biscoff caramelised biscuits - and have dreamed of little since. The best thing about this menu is that it's not arbitrary - you can keep to the comfort of the original menu if you're a creature of habit and just need a bloody burger.
