The secret is in using really hot water. As well as running water from the tap, it s worth topping up the bucket with boiling water from the kettle. Of course, you don t want to boil your hands so invest in good quality washing up gloves.

Top Tip Kitchen divas also use cotton gloves inside the rubber ones. This stops your hands from getting sweaty and  protects your skin from the hot water.

Put all the ingredients in your bucket and use a sponge to wash the kitchen cupboards,  cabinets and shelves with the solution. Do the walls and tiles at the same time if you can!  Then wipe with a damp cloth that has also been dipped into the solution. Seriously greasy kitchens may need more than one application or a stronger solution. Change sponges, clothes and hot water regularly.
