#Ninja Kitchen System Review - Ninja Food Processor Reviews

The Bad: While the Ninja chopped onions evenly, it struggled to make salsa. pulverizing tomatoes and leaving the other ingredients nearly untouched. It could blend whole fruits and vegetables, but it couldn't extract juice, and so it doesn't replace a juice extractor. Fruit, ice, and dairy could be blended to create a sweet frozen mixture, but not a true ice cream. We were surprised to see that the included cookbook gives recipes in which you combine ingredients in the Ninja and are then instructed to add the mixture to a separate ice cream maker. While the Ninja could mix a small batch of cookie dough, it needed frequent scraping and was hard to access.

The Bottom Line: While the Ninja works quite well as a blender and for chopping small batches of vegetables, don't hold out hope that it will fill in for a full-sized stand mixer or food processor. You also shouldn't expect it to extract juice like a juice extractor or to make instant ice cream. And while we can recommend it as a blender, for nearly $160, you can easily buy our top-rated blender and a mini chopper.
