15 Kitchen With Chalkboard Decors | Home Design Lover

We have just featured dining rooms with chalkboard decoration in it. And we sure had fun browsing the photos that we feel like adding another bunch to the photos but this time for the kitchen areas. Chalkboards are really nice. You can either paint a wall with chalkboard paint or paint other areas of the space. Even a table with chalkboard paint will look beautiful especially when the writings are all there already. But aside from that, a framed chalkboard will work well too.

So, we have collated images of kitchens that have chalkboard decorations in them. We were amazed on the variation of usage for that item in these spaces. Indeed, creativity brings us a long way! Chalkboards are very useful for the kitchen because you can always write the grocery list and items that you need to buy on them. With this, you will surely not forget anything when you go to the grocery. If you are unsure of how a kitchen would look like wi ... Read more »

Kitchen Furniture - Kitchen Islands, Tables and Chairs

Kitchen furniture can be found in many styles and materials. It should not only look attractive but also be comfortable enough that family and guests will sit and visit before or after a meal. A table may be surrounded by chairs or pushed up to a built in seating area. Also available are freestanding kitchen islands that look like fine furniture; their wood and color may vary from your cabinets. Stools in a variety of styles suit any decor and make tasks or visiting at your island or peninsula comfortable. Open storage pieces show off your china and give the kitchen a dressed up appearance. Be sure to provide space for your prized cookbook collection with built-ins or bookcases.

When choosing portable kitchen furniture, be sure to consider whether the cabinet styles and materials match (or at least complement) your kitchen cabinet style and construction. In addition, the portable furniture hardware and top surfaces shou ... Read more »

How to Paint a Ceramic Kitchen Sink | eHow

Use plastic or newspaper and painters tape to cover the counter and backsplash surrounding the sink. Ceramic paint will bond with any paintable surface, so it is really important to not get it on the surrounding surfaces. You'll also want to tape off the drains and the faucet so that you don't get any ceramic paint on them either. Your lines will be clean and sharp when you use painters tape, so the edges where the sink meets the counter will be perfect.

Use a sheet of fine-grit sand paper folded into thirds to sand the surface of the sink. Use a steady back and forth motion. Apply slight pressure while sanding. Sand the entire surface completely. Wipe all dust particles away with a soft damp cloth. Dry completely with a soft dry cloth. Doing this gives the paint a smooth surface to adhere to and also removes nicks and scratches.

Using a soft paint brush of a medium to small size, apply the first coat of ceramic paint to th ... Read more »

My Kitchen Desk

So, moms who are trying to avoid food coloring find themselves becoming cupcake bakers by necessity. Kids these days are always having parties - cupcakes at school, at sports and of course at birthday parties. And it is rare to find a party with all naturally colored cupcakes, so it's always a good idea to bring your own. At school, many moms leave some homemade cupcakes in the freezer in a ziploc container. They thaw out in about 20-30 minutes, no problem.

Here are my two easiest, basic cupcake recipes. They are also the most affordable because they require no milk and no eggs! This also makes the cakes vegan, but this is not my goal. My goal is to make tons of cupcakes for the entire football team for less than $10:)

These are so easy you don't even need to pull out the electric mixer, a simple bowl and spoon will work just fine! As my 5 year old would say, "Easy Peasy, Lemon Squeezy".
