Glue along all -inch dados, insert the panels and stretchers, and finish-nail the joints; the rear top stretcher should be attached inch from the back of the side panels so as to allow for the -inch back. Slide the back in place, square the cabinet and finish-nail the back to the top stretcher and base bottom. Cut a -inch-wide-by-3/8-inch-deep dado horizontally with the top of the dado 18 inches from the bottom of the side panels (the top bottom will be glued into this dado). Cut a -inch-wide-by-3/8-inch-deep dado horizontally along the top edge of the top side panels (the top top will be glued into this dado). Rip seven lengths of 2 -inch-wide-by-8 foot-long face frame material from the milled hardwood. Cut and attach all vertical face frames. Cut and attach all horizontal face frames. Cut and attach the base top edging to the sides and front of the top. Cut and attach adjustable shelf edging to the front of the shelves. Cut three lengths of 3-inch-wide-by-8-foot-long stile and rail material. Cut a inch wide inch deep dado into the edge of the stile and rail material. Cut four stiles to 27 inches long. Cut four rails to 15 inches. Cut a -inch-wide-by- -inch-deep dado along the each side of both ends of the rail stock (these are the tenon joints). Cut two center panels from the -inch veneer hardwood measuring 15 inches wide by 22 inches deep. Slide the center panels into the stile dados. Glue and clap the stiles and rails together, making sure the perimeter is square. Fill all joint seams and nail holes with wood filler to match the hardwood species being used. Finish sanding the entire hutch to at least 220-grit smoothness. Attach the base top to the stretcher material, using 1 -inch grabber screws, attaching the screws from inside the cabinet so the screws are unseen. Attach the base doors with hinges selected to accentuate the intended style and install the handles.
