#How to Install LED Lights Under Kitchen Cabinets - Ron Hazelton Mobile Learn how to install low-voltage modular LED lighting under your kitchen cabinets.31 Comments31 Comments31 Comments31 CommentsVery informative video, but the one part I really needed to hear/see was wiring the dimmer control or transformer. The Magnetic Dimmer Driver transformer i have has black and white for high voltage and white and black for low voltage to the lights. I have a wall outlet above the stove for the microwave so I am using a 16 ga, 13 A, 125 V plug to power cord to the transformer. I have a schematic, but it is confusing to me. I plan to contact the co. I purchase the lights from tomorrow. But for now (Sunday evening) I watched your video and just thought I would see what you think? Where I am lost is at my Skylark dimmer sw. It has two reds and one black wire coming out and the green ground. The Skylark has a slide switch for dimming and a rocker sw. for on / off. This is what I think, please correct me if I am wrong. I need to wire the black dimmer wire to the black power cord wire? The red dimmer wire to the black xformer wire? I think I need to cap the extra red wire out of the dimmer sw. This leaves the low voltage wiring. Since the wire to the LED lights are only black, I assume it doesn't matter which wire connects to the low voltage. red and white wires? Great video on wiring up the lights and how to get power to the xformer and how to get power to the light. The segment where he was wiring the xformer was hidden and wasn't covered in detail.
