#Grand Opening of 1919 Kitchen & Tap More VideoA new stop is available in the Lambeau Field Atrium. Customers flocked to Friday's grand opening of Lambeau Field's newest addition, the 1919 Kitchen and Tap restaurant. John Butitta of Neenah said, "I thought it was very cool, the service was excellent." Jon Green from Colorado said, "I'm from Colorado where we have fabulous beers, and I was just looking at the beers on tap and it's a fabulous selection. I'm very excited actually." The restaurant's opening is the second of the big projects in the Atrium to be finished. The re-located and expanded pro-shop opened last July Mark Murphy, Green Bay Packers President/CEO, said "It's really exciting actually to see, the Atrium is busy and active on a Friday afternoon, and thats what we want to see on a regular basis." That includes on non-game days. Murphy also said, "The focus really was on improving the fan experience." And so far… it's working. The line to get a table at 1919 Kitchen and Tap was out the door Friday morning. Charlie Millerwise, general manager of Delaware North Sportservice at Lambeau Field said, "This truly is an experience not like anything else in town, and really outside of Northeast Wisconsin. It feels like you're in a major metropolitan area." The menu is still full of fan favorites and Wisconsin comfort foods. According to some staff members who have tried the whole menu, they say some of the highlights include the 1919 burger, and of course the cheese curds. The 1919 burger is an all-natural beef patty with havarti cheese, fried sauerkraut, bacon, and red pepper aioli. Butitta said, "This restaurant really does have a special atmosphere, its got excellent food and a good drink selection. I think when we're coming up to Green Bay, this would be the place we'd look at." 1919 Kitchen & Tap also features an outdoor seating patio, and an emphasis on locally sourced ingredients.
