#Pearl Kitchen, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad - Restaurant 'Pearl Kitchen, Banjara Hills' ReviewsRated We went for dinner buffet with my colleagues. I would say a reasonable price for the dinner they served. My buffet experience was nice. I liked the seafood and chicken starters and the curries were also nice. It also had chaat, papdi, veg curries, paneer masala. The desserts were not so pleasing as the rice kheer wasn't up to the mark, the gulab jamun was okay and the ice cream also tasted fine. Rated Pearl Kitchen A new name in the dining scene, Pearl Kitchen is off to a great start. Looking out for a new restaurant around Sri Nagar Colony, we walked in around 8:30 and were surprised to see the restaurant fairly empty. We were escorted to our table and served the soups and starters gradually. The chicken soup and the dal based soup were both fine, average in taste and sufficient in quantity. Then, came the starters. The 2 chicken starters and the fish were absolutely spot on. Tasted fresh, were served piping hot and were wonderful on taste buds, and slightly on the spicier side. The mint chutney accompanying the starters was excellent as well. The vegetarian starters, except for the Manchuria, tasted floury and bland, with too much spice in it adding to the distaste. The main course had only one non veg curry in butter chicken, which was on the money again. The chicken biryani was above average, though the rice was brimming with flavour, unlike the pieces. All the other dishes were vegetarian, which were said to be above average. The paneer pieces tasted pretty raw though the curry was fine. The naans were excellent though, hot, fresh and soft. The sweets present were kheer, gajar ka halwa and Kala jamun, of which the Kala jamun tasted good. The others were average. The ice cream served at the end while having the desserts was a nice end to the meal. The chat and salad lay was average as well. All in all, I'd say, priced at 300+Taxes, this was a meal that was worth its weight for the non vegetarian fare, definitely, but not so for the vegetarian, for which a change of some items would do them much better. The service is warm and excellent, and so is their commitment to providing a very good quality of food, with a simple ambience. A few improvements off the menu will be great, and at this price, it will be an absolute killer. A very promising restaurant!
