We had lunch there before and thought the food was just okay.  Perhaps we had the boring beets salad and my husband steak on his salad was under season and over cook.  However the service was great!

So we decided to give it another try during their wine Wednesday,  20%off appertizer and 25%off beers and wine, pretty good deal right.

We love sitting outside by the fire pit, as they said wine taste better by the fire and I could not agreed more.  It was a nice touch to the outdoor ambience while we wait for our son at his music lesson next door.

I am so excited about this post! Last Monday I shared some before photos of my kitchen makeover as part of Sherwin-Williams National Painting Week. Now I m practically leaping out of my chair as I type because I am so proud of this work. With two weeks and less than $2000 I transformed my kitchen from a claustrophobic eyesore to a space that radiates light and positive energy!

Because I rent rather than own, I did need to clear this makeover with my landlord. We agreed that the removal of some cabinets would make the new paint job go even farther towards opening the space, so I kicked things off with some very satisfying demolition. It’s hard to imagine being excited about a kitchen trash can, but the iTouchless (Model DZT13 Plus) has become one of my favorite household helpers.

The sleek, stainless-steel can has a wide black lid cover with an infrared sensor that opens the lid automatically when your hand approaches the can, and closes automatically after about 10 seconds. That means no more wet, drippy garbage hitting the lid as you open the can.

Two buttons on the front of the lid will open and close the lid manually if you need to keep the lid open longer (for example, while shelling hard-boiled eggs or peeling potatoes).

The iTouchless uses regular 13-gallon kitchen bags and operates on four “D” size batteries, which have lasted over three years so far in my kitchen. It also has a replaceable carbon filter to eliminate odors.

This past Saturday night my girls made a surprise 60th birthday party for me. When wife and I came home from an early supper out, we entered the front door and found the living room empty of people with just mood lighting on. As we walked down the gallery towards our bedroom wing to change we found all our guests gathered in the sunroom (14x30) where drinks and hors d oeuvres were set. Wood, wood-laminate, and metal cabinets usually can be repainted without difficulty. Plastic laminate cabinets resist overpainting those that can be refinished often require special paints and techniques, and results can vary. If your cabinets have plastic laminate surfaces, first check with a knowledgeable paint dealer, and test a sample of the paint you wish to use in an inconspicuous area to ensure that it will bond to the material.

Flat-front doors and drawers are easily repainted, but woodwork with raised panels, routed profiles or other architectural detailing will require more time to prep and paint. If the woodwork is warped, badly worn or damaged, or coming apart at the glued joints, you can opt to buy new unfinished doors and drawers and paint them along with your existing cabinets.
