#Kitchen Tea #1 smoePosted 18 August 2006 - 09:20 AM I am throwing a kitchen tea/bridal shower for my sister who gets married on Sept 10th. Can any one give me some ideas for games please? I have today and tomorrow to organise the games, I have all the food and decorations organised. #2 2guysandagirlPosted 18 August 2006 - 01:26 PM A couple of games I ve played at kitchen teas are. 1. Split people into groups of 3 or 4 and give each group a toilet roll. One person out of each group has to be the bride and the others have to make and dress the bride in the toilet paper to make a bridal gown, the person with the longest train wins. 2. Everybody clips a peg onto their collar when they arrive and each person has to sit with their legs uncrossed. When you see someone with their legs crossed you can go and steal their peg (its amazing cause you automatically cross your legs when you sit down)in the end you ll have someone with a heap of pegs pinned to them and everyone is just waiting for them to cross thier legs and pounce. 3. Make a pretend clothes line and peg a heap of pegs or just a piece of string with pegs will do. Each person takes a turn to see how many pegs they can get off with one hand. The other hand must stay behind their back and they have to hold all the pegs they take off in the one hand as well as be taking pegs off. 4. Find something funny like a straw or something longish and people have to pass it to each other between their knees. They cannot use their hands at all. If you drop it your out. 5. Hang donuts from a string and people have to eat them with their hands tied behind their backs, the first person to eat the whole donut wins. Thats all I can think of at the moment I ll come back if I think of any others I ve played at kitchen teas #3 SambambinoPosted 18 August 2006 - 09:21 PM What about a quiz - questions about your Sis and her H2B. how they met, what their favourite movies/bands/sports etc are. you acn also ask a few naughty questions like where was the first place they did it . this is fun and a good way to see who really knows the couple well. Another good one for a baby shower is matching the famous couples with their baby names. you do a page with two coloumns - one with a list of couples and one with a list of babies/children and people have to match them up. Handbag Bingo is fun - make up a cards/list of say 20 items that may be found in a handbag, make some obvious (car keys, lipstick) and some not so obvious (like a child s toy or a handyman s tool) put the ladies into teams of 2-3 people and read out a master list of all the items like you would at bingo. The first team to be able to mark off all items wins Stand Up / Sit Down (this was a shocker at my Bridal Shower - found out a few things about some of the older ladies that us young chicks wouildn t believe). everyone begins by sitting down and you call out a list of things people may have done. If they have done the thing called out they stand up. If they haven t done the next thing they sit down. it gets quite funny with evryone popping up and down and it s also interesting to see who has (or hasn t) done what. The list could include: Travelled to another country
