Fulham s GBK is a pretty par-for-the-course representation of the brand: welcome quirks (such as the tap water and monkey nuts to go), dependable presentation, friendly service and the usual range of comparatively unexciting burgers and rather better milkshakes. With little of the burger competition found in central London however, it manages to be one of the better options in Fulham. Certainly they deserve credit for being more imaginative in their burgers and fillings (ever wanted to try Buffalo meat? You can here) than the nearby Byron. Their partnership with Scottish brewery Harviestoun is promising too,

You can t do much wrong when going to GBK. No matter if you go for a beef or a chicken burger, or something else from the menu, it s always very delicious and the staff is really friendly. GBK is for sure one of the best burger chains in London.

Two Kiwis run Gourmet Kitchen. In New Zealand there is a similar chain called Wisconsin. For the Brits the name had to be rethought, finally a restaurant is living up to its standards what the name promises - they serve gourmet burgers. If you think burger is a common thing you will be surprised what choice they offer you here. If it all becomes too much, the plain beef burgers, maybe with cheese, is the safe option. Even though this place is called burger the vegetarians are not left out. The vegetarian goats cheese / Portobello mushroom burgers are also lovely.

You have to place your order at the counter. The food is then served to your table. Do not waste your time talking and waiting for the waiter at the table - as the food can take a little while as burgers are cooked to order. When you had the displeasure to bite into a hockey puck burger before you will taste the difference.

Fries are golden and crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, just like they should be. This is where the garlic sauce is needed. Are you a garlic fan? Good - me too. and this is the reason I can t stop thinking of Gourmet Burger Kitchen. Apart from their prices being reasonable for their portions, Gourmet Kitchen has the best garlic sauce of the world. You still notice a day later!

This place is maybe not for a romantic date, but a Saturday lunch with friends to talks and laugh out loud and also children are welcome.
