#Top 219 Complaints and Reviews about Home Depot Kitchens Consumer Complaints ReviewsReading the endless horror stories with Home Depot, mine pales somewhat, but remains from my vantage point an odyssey of staggering misery, testing the very limits of human frustration and rage. Synop: I ordered custom cabinets from Chelsea store in Manhattan. Everything seemed fine except some cabinet pieces didn't show up (panels to the dishwasher and fridge), some were just cut to the wrong size, and another few items came that clearly were not mine. It took 5 months to get the ordered filled. 5 long months of endless unanswered emails, voicemails, countless trips to the store where I would wait for hours at a time to meet with someone, anyone who might help me, only to be told, "we're working on it." I placed a 50k (fifty thousand) dollars kitchen order from Home Depot. I relied on the designers, contractors, and managers to evaluate the drawing according to my appliances, and the contractor's measurements. After I paid for my order, and felt confident the drawings were correct since it was measured more than five times by the contractors and I spent more than two weeks with the designer. Afterwards, I went to another experienced kitchen designer to evaluate the drawing. To my dismay, he noticed, the sink cabinet was too small for the complimentary sink. I was surprised, the managers, the designer, and the contractors were wrong. I returned to Home Depot to revise the drawing before the contractor started the job (which is only "one person", from DK Construction Inc. installing the cabinets). I explained to the manager the sink cabinet was too small for the complimentary sink. All the managers, **, ** were surprised and told me to wait for the designer **, to come back to correct this problem. The cabinets were paid and ordered already. They placed the second order. After two days of the installation, I noticed that the cabinet I chose in the drawings were not correct. It was too small for the soffit. They told me not to changed it and leave it alone that it won't look right, and for me to cut the soffit. **, supervisor, for the job, told me to cut the soffit to fit the cabinet. I insisted, I wanted to see the revised drawing with the cabinet covering the soffit. The supervisor replied, "we deleted that drawing". Currently, the guy left the unfinished kitchen, as per **'s order. Because the third mistake. The first mistake was the measurements of the kitchen. Every measurements were wrong. The second mistake was with the sink cabinet being too small. The third mistake, the cabinet were ordered too small for the soffits. We are in the process of ordering the third order. I called the manager and they told me once again, to wait for ** to come back to work on Friday to place the third order. Please help me. I need your assistance in this matter. I need my kitchen to be finished, so I can eat at home. Currently, the kitchen was left unfinished - after one person working for three days from 12-4pm. Please noticed the job is only to install the cabinets. I figured, paying more money was worth it to get professional work. I was wrong. Just to install the cabinets is $13,262.00 - for only one person, (**). Updated 6/25/2015 - Home Depot ordered, designed, and installed my kitchen cabinets. I paid over 40K. The entire order was ordered the wrong size and the wrong color. All the cabinets were ordered too small. The contractor tried to fit everything the best that he could. However, the gap were so big in between the cabinets, they couldn't hide the mistakes. All the handles were hitting each other when the cabinets opened. All the cabinets were not aligned. I returned some cabinets and the contractor signed his name. When I arrived to the store to get my refund, two supervisor told me they will give me my refund if I sign a waiver to release them from any responsibilities. Finally, they agreed to compensate me 1K dollars and they left the job site unfinished since they couldn't handle the job. I've been through so much aggravation with Home Depot. I DON'T WISH THIS TO NO ONE.
